Large Canadian Integrated Oil Company awards CCS project to Absolute Imaging
Ontario’s Haldimand county is home to some of the best geology for Carbon Sequestration and Storage (CCS), and it is close to much of the carbon-generating infrastructure present in eastern Canada. Absolute Imaging has been awarded a 2D project which will require both imaging (non-AVO) and amplitude-preserving (AVO) workflows. Located in the Canadian Shield region, the Pre-Stack Time Migration (PSTM) processing and reprocessing project comes with challenges related to the near-surface high velocity layer. Absolute Imaging’s extensive toolbox of noise suppression algorithms, coupled with our hard-rock experience, will be key to solving these challenges.
