Successful conclusion to Absolute Imaging Inc.’s participation at SPG in Jaipur

Society of Petroleum Geophysicists (SPG) held its 15th Biennial International Conference & Exposition at Jaipur Exhibition and Novotel Jaipur Convention Centre and JECC, Jaipur Rajasthan, India from 26-28 October 2025.

The theme “Rock to Cloud: Geo-Exploration Empowering Energy Evolution” highlights the transformative journey of the energy industry from subsurface sciences (“rock”) to trailblazing digital innovation (“cloud”). It emphasizes the advancement of geo-exploration methods to effectively address modern energy challenges, reduce carbon footprints, and pave the way for a smarter, more sustainable energy future.

Mr. Pankaj Jain, the current Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, stated in his address that India’s credibility is at stake if it fails to find a major oil and gas reserve soon, urging faster, technology-driven exploration efforts.

Much discussion was around energy security and the need to be more energy independent. Key takeaways were the need for shooting better seismic data, applying new imaging technology such as FWI, using AI/ML to speed up the business cycle and new government regulations to entice foreign companies.
