Pakistan NOC awards structurally complex 2D reprocessing project to Absolute Imaging
Following a competitive process, involving a test line, Absolute has been selected for a reprocessing project which falls in Barkhan and Kohlu, which are districts of Zhob and Sibi division respectively. The region’s landscape includes highly elevated, rugged mountains, cliffs, ridges and other complex features. The 597 lkm of 2D seismic were acquired over the Sulaiman fold-thrust belt. Absolute Imaging’s extensive experience working with complex data was key in the test line processing and led to the award of this project. The processing will comprise of Anisotropic Pre-Stack Time Migration (PSTM) and Pre-Stack Depth Migration (PSDM) including advanced imaging technologies such as ABM and RTM.
