Wyoming CCS 3D to be processed through PSTM & PSDM
A leading energy infrastructure company based in the US has awarded Absolute Imaging a 261 sq mile 3D in Wyoming. In addition to Wyoming’s existing CO2 pipelines and other oil and gas infrastructure, the state boasts considerable geologic potential for CO2 storage. The state’s basins are replete with expansive saline sandstone and limestone reservoirs featuring high porosity and permeability. This 3D will act as the baseline volume for future 2D monitoring datasets which will be used for 4D assessment of the CO2 plume. The primary objective for the seismic is structural and stratigraphic characterization from the surface to the Pennsylvanian. Broad bandwidth resolution and preservation of relative amplitude variations are very important.
