Absolute Imaging announces the award of a 2,000 square kilometre merge in the Alberta Foothills
Absolute Imaging is pleased to announce the award of a 2,000 square kilometre merge in the Alberta Foothills. This project consists of the merging of multiple 3Ds which are to be processed using both Time and Advanced Imaging techniques.
The work is being done for Pieridae Energy, a Canadian company that recently became the largest Foothills natural gas producer in the country following its purchase of all of Shell Canada’s Foothills assets. The purchase allows Pieridae to secure the majority of the natural gas, when developed, to supply its US$10 billion Goldboro LNG Project, to be built on Canada’s East Coast. The project will supply LNG to Europe and other global customers.
In order to supply Goldboro with the 800 MMcf/d needed daily for train 1, a multi-year drilling program in the Foothills is expected to begin late in 2020. The work being done with Absolute Imaging will be a key element in moving the drilling program forward.
