Absolute Imaging announces reconnaissance trip to India

In mid-June 2018 Elvis Floreani (President) and Mark Watson (Vice President) of Absolute Imaging travelled to India to conduct in-country reconnaissance for upcoming tenders related to future Seismic Acquisition, Processing, and Interpretation of Coal and Oil and Gas Exploration projects. The first of these tenders has just been released. They were joined in India by Ajit Singh (President, Absolute Imaging International (India) Private Limited) and met with company representatives and conducted site visits to active Coal exploration and production areas.

The trip armed the group with invaluable information that will assist in Absolute’s pursuit of these tenders which will utilize leading edge reflection seismic methods that are more environmentally and cost efficient than the traditional Coring activity that has taken place.

Absolute is leveraging their office in India to allow them to grow their seismic data processing opportunities in south Asia and is committed to finding and executing on new opportunities in the region.

Absolute Imaging conducts client engagement trip to three different countries in Latin America

Between April 30 and May 11, 2018, a team from Absolute Imaging conducted a client engagement trip to three different countries in Latin America. Absolute’s team included Elvis Floreani (President) and Mark Watson (VP, Business Development & Corporate Strategy). They met with numerous private Oil & Gas exploration companies, National Oil Companies (NOC’s) and government agencies responsible for Oil & Gas activity. They also led project wrap up meetings for work successfully completed not only with NOC’s but also with other local and international entities operating in South America. Follow-on work was also awarded to Absolute during the trip based upon superior performance results, including the commitment for additional future products. Technical presentations including the demonstration of Absolute’s Advanced Imaging Technologies were provided to our existing and future clients. Further meetings were conducted with our JV partner, Neoil Exploration, and others, in our Bogotá office to advance our sales initiatives in the Latin America region.

Absolute Imaging will be returning to Colombia later in the year to conduct a series of presentations of projects utilizing our Advanced Imaging Technologies and the integration of Quantitative Interpretation through our JV partner, Sound QI Solutions. Further presentations will be conducted by Neoil Exploration whose experience in the exploration and development process in Colombia is extensive.

Absolute Imaging and Sound QI Solutions to provide combined seismic data processing, advanced imaging and quantitative interpretation services

Absolute Imaging Inc. and Sound QI Solutions Ltd. (Sound QI) are pleased to announce a Joint Venture to offer combined seismic data processing, advanced imaging and quantitative interpretation services for reservoir characterization.

Absolute Imaging is a leading provider of land, marine and transition zone seismic data imaging solutions including depth imaging, diffraction imaging, multicomponent processing, and environmental near-surface imaging. Sound QI is a leading quantitative interpretation (QI) solutions company integrating seismic and well data with rock physics and geological knowledge, to create high fidelity volume predictions of geology and geological properties. These volumes are delivered in a unique multi-attribute interpretation environment for reservoir characterization, Sound QI’s signature interactive classification software QI-Pro™.

Over the past 11 years Absolute Imaging has successfully expanded its service offerings in both the domestic and international markets. Absolute Imaging’s clients are increasingly requiring advanced reservoir characterization services, including AVO and inversion, in addition to seismic data processing and advanced imaging services. In response to their client’s needs, President Elvis Floreani and the Absolute Imaging team wanted to partner with reservoir characterization experts with the same philosophy as Absolute Imaging, namely to provide extraordinary service, technological innovation and accountability. Absolute found such a partner in Sound QI.

President Laurie Weston Bellman and the team at Sound QI are constantly working to increase value from clients’ seismic data. Through extensive experience, Sound QI has developed a deep understanding of the impacts of seismic data processing on the final QI results. The seismic input to their QI workflow (including AVO, inversion, and multi-attribute analysis) demands a level of detail and expertise that goes beyond conventional processing. Working closely with processing geoscientists ensures the best possible outcome for QI techniques, revealing the most complete and accurate characterization of clients’ reservoirs. For Sound QI, partnering with a sophisticated company like Absolute Imaging is critical to success.

With the formation of the Absolute Imaging – Sound QI Joint Venture, clients will immediately benefit from a simplified bidding process; close collaboration between processing geoscientists and QI interpreters; delivery of advanced imaging and QI attribute volumes; and access to QI-Pro™ software.
