Absolute Imaging meets with ONGC Videsh in India
While visiting India, Elvis Floreani, President of Absolute Imaging, had the opportunity and pleasure of meeting Mr. Narendra K. Verma, Managing Director & CEO of ONGC Videsh in Delhi. ONGC Videsh is the International arm of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and has blocks/production in 18 countries outside of India.

Absolute Imaging showcases technology at Technothon 2017 in India
Oil India Limited invited Elvis Floreani, President of Absolute Imaging, to showcase Absolute’s Advanced Imaging capabilities at Technothon 2017 in New Delhi, India. Technothon 2017, hosted by Oil India Limited on December 8 and 9, brings together innovative service providers and technology players to showcase the latest technological advancements and trends in exploration and production.
Working primarily in India’s highly structured northeast region, Oil India Limited is a premier Indian National Oil Company engaged in the business of exploration, development and production of crude oil and natural gas, transportation of crude oil and production of LPG.

Absolute Imaging joins Alberta trade mission to Argentina and Colombia
Absolute Imaging attended the Alberta Government Oil and Gas Mission to Argentina from November 12th until November 17th. Absolute’s team included; Elvis Floreani (President) and Pat McKenny (Manager, Business Development).
The Government of Alberta’s Ministry of Economic Development and Trade’s Americas Branch, in conjunction with Export Development Canada (EDC), and Global Affairs Canada (GAC), organized the trade Mission to Argentina and Colombia, focusing on the energy sector. The Mission’s goal is to support Alberta companies grow their businesses and expand into new markets.

Absolute Imaging exhibits at Expo Oil and Gas Colombia 2017
Absolute Imaging was an exhibitor in the Canadian Pavilion at the Expo Oil and Gas Colombia 2017 from November 22nd to November 24th. The Expo Oil and Gas is an academic, technical, business and networking venue for experts, academics, government institutions, chambers of commerce, binational chambers and operating companies to discuss the current business atmosphere in the oil and gas market and make new connections. Absolute’s team included; Elvis Floreani (President) and Mark Watson (VP, Sales & Corporate Strategy).

Maria Bastidas joins Absolute Imaging
Absolute Imaging welcomes Maria Eugenia Bastidas. Maria is a Processing Geophysicist and has more than 12 years of experience with both 2D and 3D data in stratigraphic and complex structural play types. Maria has duel Colombian-Canadian citizenship and will be primarily focused on our Latin America projects. She has a MSc.Geophysics and previously worked for CGG and ION. Absolute incorporating in Ghana
Absolute Imaging International along with a JV partner are incorporating in Ghana to provide leading edge Seismic Data Processing Services to the West Africa region. Absolute was recently short listed for a large 2D seismic data processing project in Ghana and are looking to pursue more opportunities in the region.

Absolute Imaging showcases technology in Pakistan
A team from Absolute Imaging traveled to Pakistan to meet with twelve Oil & Gas exploration companies operating in Pakistan (NOCs & Public Companies). Absolute’s team included; Elvis Floreani (President), Nick Nikic (Manager, Marine Processing & Depth Imaging) and Muhammad Tahir (Processing Geophysicist). From April 28 to May 9 the Absolute team hosted technical presentations and discussions on various seismic data processing topics, including diffraction imaging.

Latin America projects
Absolute Imaging International’s office in Latin America was awarded a 2 year contract to provide seismic data processing services to a large multinational company exploring in Latin America. Also in April, Absolute was awarded a significant project with a large Colombia-based exploration company.

Stewart Trickett Receives 2016 CSEG Technical Achievement Award
The 2016 CSEG Technical Achievement Award was presented during the 2017 CSEG Symposium to Stewart Trickett. Stewart was Absolute Imaging’s Senior Developer and Research Scientist beginning in 2014. He’s now partnered with Absolute Imaging through his own company, Juniper Bay Software Ltd. Stewart was recognized for his many valuable contributions to the Geophysics industry; both academic and business-related.
The award presentation highlighted Stewart’s many significant and often revolutionary research contributions to Geophysics. Stewart is the inventor and holder of 3 US and Canadian patents on seismic data processing. He was the chief architect of two complete processing systems at two different companies. He has also made prolific literature contributions. According to the award presentation, Stewart’s papers are always very well written and illustrated, and include articles on noise suppression, stretch-free stacking, wavelet processing and 5D Interpolation.
Stewart graduated with a BSc. in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia and has a Master of Mathematics in Applied Mathematics from the University of Waterloo. Stewart has worked for Veritas, SDP, Kelman, Fugro, CGG and Absolute Imaging.
“Stewart is a generous geophysicist who shares his knowledge with no hesitation with colleagues and students. He is approachable and always ready to provide excellent advice to students working in the field of seismic data processing. I have been working in the area of seismic data processing for more than 20 years. At this time, I must say that I cannot think of no one more deserving of the CSEG Technical Achievement Award than Stewart.” Mauricio D Sacchi, Professor and Chair, Department of Physics (Geophysics), University of Alberta.

Office opening in Bogota
On April 6th, Absolute Imaging and Neoil Exploration celebrated the opening of a joint office in Bogota, Colombia. Over 40 clients and guests attended an event hosted by Elvis Floreani (Absolute’s President), Mark Watson (Absolute’s VP), Ruben Arismendy (Neoil’s Co Founder & Managing Partner), and Edgar Chajid Kairuz (Neoil’s Co Founder & Managing Partner). The two companies opened a joint office in Bogota and will work together to provide services to the Latin America market.

Neoil Exploration, based in Bogota, Colombia and Absolute Imaging recently signed a Joint Venture (JV) agreement. The two companies opened a joint office in Bogota and will work together to provide services to the Latin America market. Neoil Exploration (www.neoilexploration.com) offers services that support the process of exploration and production of hydrocarbons in Latin America.
