Source Designature (Debubble and Zero Phasing)
Marine source designature is an important step in seismic data processing. Our source designature was designed to debubble and zero phase the input data.
It is critical to get a precise far field signature to make this process possible. Far field signature can be obtained from traditional modeling software, or derived from nearfield hydrophone data if available. In cases where no source signature is available, especially when reprocessing old acquisition data, we can extract the source wavelet from near traces in the deep-water area. The following source designature example shows that the bubble was removed nicely and the seismic events look sharper with zero phasing applied.
