Azer Mustaqeem, P.Geoph. - Mr. Mustaqeem
started his career as a Geologist with Pakistan
Petroleum Limited. In 1995 he came to US for M.S.
in Exploration Geophysics at Stanford. Over the
last 13 years he worked in various Reservoir Geophysicist
roles in software, service and exploration companies
(Paradigm, Tricon, Vigilant Exploration, Geomodeling).
Azer has gained extensive experience in advance
geophysical analysis of unconventional reservoirs
of Western Canada and Direct Hydrocarbon Indicators.
His areas of special focus are in the Deep-basin,
Peace River Arch and NEBC, Canada and Llanos basin,
Colombia.
Valentina Baranova, Ph.D. Geology - Dr.
Baranova started her career with Institute of
the Physics of the Earth, Moscow, Russia, while
completing her Ph.D. in Geotectonics. Her work
in Recent Crustal Movements brought her to USGS
to work with world renowned seismologists. After
moving to Canada in 1997, she worked with Geological
Survey of Canada. Her next venture was induced
seismicity research in WCSB and handling extensive
data from Tajikistan under NATO funded research.
During last few years she had focused her efforts
on the study of shoreface conglomerates of Western
Interior Seaway. She has presented in numerous
conferences and also teaches courses in OpendTect
software.
